A Man Called Jesus

Good morning to you all brothers and sisters! This morning is going to be a little different. I found these paintings and they are beautiful. May they bring joy to your soul and remind you that Jesus was wholly man and wholly God. He lived this life tempted as we are and tried as we are. I personally think the devil was on Him hard. Jesus needed to be stopped and I think when Jesus was killed, Satan thought he had won. Little did he know that was only the beginning!

Psalms 34:3-6
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Today is Sunday and in America, plenty of bodies are preparing to flock buildings at 11 A.M with all kinds of different things on their minds and in their hearts. Many could be thinking about the world and current events or just their everyday lives. The sad news is that half the people there if not most are not thinking about the words God wanted them to hear that day and instead are far away. Wondering instead about the game, or the meal after the service, or how fast they can leave before sister Betty from pew five has noticed them. I had a preacher tell me that the Bible was too much of a household item in America and he is right. We take for granted the amazing privilege to worship who and how we like.

This I fear is fading fast in America and soon we will no longer have this great privilege. It may just be my own fears but I see a change in people towards the true believers in my country. Being peculiar is beginning to be shunned and considered hateful. I am grateful for the cloud of witnesses that have gone before me and I am even more grateful for those of you who know they may die, even today and that suffer for the faith none the less. My heart goes out to all of you this morning no matter where you are. I am truly amazed at the depth of faith people from other countries have. I am ashamed of us in America. We have no true trials to speak of and no one is trying to kill us for our faith. As we look around at the storms raging let us keep our focus on the Master of the seas. They truly are frightening if we take our eyes off the Lord Jesus.

Let us be single in mind as we go to our places of worship. Whether it be in your home alone or with family and friends or you are able to make it to a meeting hall. Jesus has His loving eyes on us, let us do the same and only have the Lord in focus! Until next time brothers and sisters, I love you and stay peculiar!

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
