Hello brothers and sisters, I am so glad the Lord has seen you through another day and back once again to me and my rambling thoughts. I know the world might look dark where you are today but remember the Lord Almighty is in control. He is the one that puts kings on their throne.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Romans 13:1 KJV
He is the one that works all things out according to His will. Like the characters in a story, as I said the other day, we cannot begin to understand why the Lord allows the things that He does at times. However, we can understand that He wants only our good and nothing else. Like a child that has to chew that last bit of veggies before leaving the table. Only when we are older will we understand the reason behind the eating of the veggie. In like manner, when we are in the presence of the Ancient of Days we will understand in full the reason behind it all. This is something I can’t wait for.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV
SO… a long while back.. like three years now… I started a table. Yes, that is a long time ago and it has gone through many changes. When I first built it, I was so excited! I would finally have a table big enough for my whole family to sit at and I would not end up paying some crazy amount. I needed a six foot table and those things cost an arm and a leg and I was just not willing to part with either one.

Have you ever had an idea that was well… not the brightest or maybe the work involved was highly under rated… Yeah, that is this table. Work with epoxy resin they said… it will be fun they said… and well all I have to say about it is this… it indeed was fun but I knew nothing when I started and because I hate instructions as much as the next human… there were many mistakes… Did you know that epoxy resin will not stick to wax? In fact nothing will. Yeah, genius moment. We all have them. I once asked a girl in my college class how to spell big. I had completely drawn a blank. Needless to say I did not get the smartest kid in the class award. She looked at me in disbelief.

I wish at this moment in time I had pictures to show all of you from the tables “younger” days but like the Lord does with our sins, I tossed those pictures as far as the east is from the west. They were horrible mistakes. One looked like a galaxy which in theory is beautiful and perhaps I could have lived with it even if it was not truly a reflection of what I saw in my head. I got excited, hurried and impatient and in doing so, figured I had ruined my table.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: Neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:8-12 KJV
The Lord truly is a good God and knows everything we are going to do before we do it. Remember the wax…yes, this was that mistake. I was blessed in my blink decision because the epoxy peeled right off the surface of the table! So now I have my table top back and can clean it up and move forward. Have you ever tried to rid the floor of crayon… think of that… only in a thick healthy layer of galaxy colored wax and the devils sand…aka glitter. Now imagine someone… not naming names here…Amber…melted said ingredients together with a hair dryer… I said it was a bad mistake.
Thankfully, it all came off and now we are to the point above. I have learned a lot of things along the way and I have gotten better with the things required to make this creation. I have had to be patient as life happened and I would be unable to finish the project… for a long time. However, with time, patience and dedication, I do believe I am going to be satisfied with the results.

This project more than any other I have ever done reminds me of most of us in life. We start out as a fresh new table with no flaws and then we are exposed to everyday use too soon and come out a little stained and scared. The Father comes along and sands us down, cuts a few grooves into us, reshapes us for a better use, and boom before you know it, the table that was once scared, stained and ugly is given new life and sealed over with the spiritual epoxy of the Holy Spirit. Once He is finished with us, nothing is going to be able to chip away at our beautiful finish! Give the Lord the time to change what needs to be changed. Let go of the waxy residue that covers you and allow Him to wash you in His blood and seal you with His Holy Spirit. As I said in my last letter, He is faithful to finish what He starts and He is not a man that He should lie.
Tomorrow or today depending on when I finally post this I will be a year older. Another year is gone and a new one started. Forty two years ago the Lord placed me on this earth and I am sure there was a bit of sorrow that went with it. Like a parent that has to allow their child to be free, knowing that they will make decisions that will lead to their hurt and pain but also knowing that they must endure them to be strong, independent people in this life. Well rounded and mature both inside and in the world. The Lord knew all the heart ache I would go through and all the issues I would have and create on my own. Yet, He was with me the whole way, waiting for me to be ready to follow after Him.
However, He also knew about all the blessings I would get along the way. I have beautiful children and a wonderful husband that I do not deserve. Yet they are in my life to love and care for. I was blessed with beautiful sisters that have seen me through things that should have broken me. I am blessed with amazing people in my life that are now family and add to the number of siblings. I have lost children and gained others and found lost ones, I have my Christian brothers and sisters, which include you guys. Most of all I have been given the most important gift I have ever been given… the sin debt that is rightfully mine, paid by the most wonderful man that ever walked this earth!

Until next I write brothers and sisters, enjoy the projects that are in your life, both inside and outside of you. As always, stay peculiar!
Hello from the UK
Many thanks for your post. you have a very beautiful website and lovely articles. I do like that last picture in this post of yours.
I see you are 42 years old. 42 is the answer to the ultimate question according to Douglas Adams Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!
I did a post on 42. It is rather mad. If you should be interested here is the link.

And as you say about Jesus the most wonderful man that ever walked this earth, the Father’s Beautiful Boy who became a Man.
Kind regards

Please excuse the nom-de-plume, this is as much for fun as a riddle for people to solve if they wish.
